  • Setting plans and policies for capital improvement expenditure for City infrastructure, covering transport, gardens, buildings and land use, services, economic development and regeneration of slump areas as well cultural and environmental interests.
  • Establishing priorities and strategic direction for the departments in serving the citizens of Jeddah City and ensuring its sustainable development.
  • Finally, enforcing all laws and regulations and coordinating and monitoring policies to ensure programs are designed to meet the goals set forth by the Municipal Council and Community at large.

Teaching Vision and Philosophy

My teaching vision is to be recognized by my students as having made a positive change in their lives through my teaching and thereby being recognized by my peers as a premier teacher. My teaching philosophy is to teach in the College of Engineering's Industrial Engineering Department, my ultimate objective is to teach students to be professional practicing engineers who apply the fundamental engineering process to all endeavors. My teaching philosophy is for the professor to proactively model behavior consistent with an ethical, practicing engineer; and for the students to be actively engaged in learning, applying, and creating knowledge. I demonstrate this philosophy by continuously improving my courses with feedback from students, and all others involved.
