Training   One of the GIS center’s efforts is to train the municipality’s employees of different departments on GIS programs, as to achieve mayor’s goals towards business development and also to make the municipality to take full advantage of GIS. The GIS Center provides three types of training to both municipal & general users on regular basis.   Support   The Technical Support which is offered by the center is as follow: Installing and maintaining GIS systems for the different departments of Jeddah municipality and sub-municipalities. Linking the departments of Jeddah municipality and sub-municipalities with a unified central server in the GIS Center. Installing and maintaining the developed GIS applications which are developed by the GIS Center for the different departments of Jeddah municipality and sub-municipalities. Training the municipality employees on using the GIS applications and programs. Preparing and printing hard copies of maps (paper maps) and data when requested. Preparing and copying digital maps and data when requested. Training new employees, testing and qualifying them to work as GIS technician for the different departments in the municipality. Adopting GIS projects and supervising them for the different departments in the municipality. Participate in supervising the different departments´ projects which involve work concerned with geographic information systems.   To request techinical support, please click here.
